I have been involved in a community event, Walking the Street 06 The organiser, Inner West Cultural Services, aksed me to document the launch event at Peace Park, Newtown. It was an intimate event that showed the spirit of the community. The opening performance by Freshwater blew me away.
Walking the Street 06 also has awards for participating artists: Critics’ Choice Award and Shops’ Choice Award And this year fot the first time that the viewers can have their say with People’s Choice Award. If you have chance to walk along King Street South to see a variety of art between 7th-22nd October, please vote for your favourites artworks by jotting down these information:
* Name of the artist
* Title of the artwork
* Shopfront it resides
